Opinions on the Clarion AutoPC?
Anyone have experience with or an opinion about the Clarion
AutoPC?
I do not have one, just been reading about them after I saw one on Ebay.
Does it work as well as they claim? I am particularly interested in the gps
and mp3 capabilities.

it's been around for YEARS now.....IMHO.....
they have a new deal coming out. Not sure exactly what it is cuz their site is down, but it's supposed to take the place of the AutoPC. I didn't thin the AutoPC even had MP3 capability. For what your trying to do I'd say get an actual MP3 player that is new so it has tons of features and compatibility for what you want. As far as GPS goes, you have to buy a seperate unit to connect to the head unit to use it anyways. Basically its a PDA in your dash until you connect TV/Changer/GPS/Cellular phone components to it. Then it can control them. It's also discontinued so how easy is it going to be to get updated GPS maps for it?
