Thoughts on Sub placment. In trunk or in stock for a TTR?
What is the popular opinion on where the sub should be placed. I feel that putting it in the trunk within an enclosure not only takes up precious trunk space but with the TT Roadster, it would be harder to get good base. Since the trunk is not really well connected to the cockpit and with top down that is another thing between the trunck and the listner. Seems that if you go stock, you will be luck if you can get a 8" in there. But it fires right next to the listners.

Do what Jeff Bipes, HipsTTer, and others have done--replace the factory
sub with a good quality 8" sub. I would fiberglass the enclosure so that it's well sealed. Put a class d amp on it wih 300+ watts, and you're in business.
