Would it be safe and sound OK to mount an amp to the back of the actual subwoofer?
I want to leave the car as stock as possible, so I don't want to mount the amp anywhere. Plus, I want to be able to pull out the two harnesses on my PPI 275 amp and pull the whole thing out so that you could never tell it was there in the first place (as long as I tuck the wires away) and so that I can have full cargo capacity.

Re: as opposed to a "virtual" subwoofer? (sorry, I'm in a smart-*** mood today!) ; )
Good question...getting a JL Audio 10W3 installed in my TT tomorrow. Powered by a JL Audio 500/1. Not sure where to mount the amp since I too want to keep it very "stock." By the way the fader on my Bose system says "Fader Off" do you know how to activate the fader? Thanks for any help and good luck w/ the sub.
