Default USCC Round - 1 - Report

To say that Narada, Tim and the rest of the team behind Circuit-Club operate an A Class professional Circuit event is a gross understatement - other road craft and track day organisers could certainly learn a thing or two from these enthusiasts.

From drivers briefings, to class management, to professional transponder timing, to first time circuit training the team operated flawlessly.

The European marques are making a comeback! Everything from Porsche's to Audi's to Renault's, to Mercedes', to Massarati was present and accounted for.

The Audi population was out in force with A3's through to TT's, however A4's seem to be the car of choice for track day enthusiasts.

The Winner and Ultimate Street Car (Unmodified Class) was Ian Shuttle in his E55 AMG Tuned Merc (Completely standard straight from the showroom floor, albeit with lightweight racing wheels and street legal semi slicks) with a jaw dropping 1min 12 second lap.

Official Circuit Club Record was smashed wide open with a Nissan Silvia dipping into the 1 min 9 second range!

How fast is a 1 min 9 second lap? If you blink, you could very well miss it - white knuckle fast!

Where were the Audi's?

Official times have not yet been posted on the Circuit-Club website however lowest Audi times spotted on the day:

TT Quattro (standard) 1 min 16:724 sec

B6 A4 1.8T (standard) 1 min 19:483 sec

8E A3 (standard) 1 min 23:945 sec

A special thanks to the team from Circuit Club and Wakefield Park for a fantastic blood pumping, hard braking, tyre frying day in the sun.

Keep an eye on this space for the next USSC Round.
