Default Lucky for you but warranty on two gearboxes?

Sounds like a stretch to me. They are $16K each.

G'day - I'm due my first service since buying my A3T and my "local" is Scotts Artarmon.

Just wondering if there is a particular person in the service area I should make contact with....?

Default no not at all... both problems were issues they had seen before

dont know about the A4 cost... but the S4 replacement was worth 30K at list.

Hardening wore off first gear in the A4.. they had another in for the same repair at the time they diagnosed mine. input shaft and synchros replaced.

2nd gear slider was too tight in the S4 causing difficult if not impossible gear changes from time to time. This consequently led to a dead synchro on 2nd. As the car was only a few weeks old they decided to replace the whole gearbox.
