Boars Hair Brushes ??
I bought some of these to use on my car.
1. for the wheels
1. for the exterior hard to reach spots (around the supercharger logo/the audi rings, windows etc.
1. for the interior
I use the two bucket method to wach my car and I noticed after drying it last night I have 3 scratches on top of the Audi circles on the front of the car.
When I use the brushes, I clean a section, then put them in my rinse bucket (on the grig guard), then dip them back into the wash bucket.
I do remember cleaning the grill part above it with my boars brushes to make sure the recesses were cleaned.
Any suggestion on how the scratches could have gotten there???

I spent $$$ on the same type of brush. They say 100% boars hair, however if you look under magnification you can see poly fibers. Those fibers scratched my black Q5. I too use the two bucket method and high quality car wash. I now use a wool wash mitt and it works great! I use wheel woolies and a microfiber mitt on the wheels. If your car was a light color, white, silver, etc. then you would not see the micro marring caused by the brush under normal light conditions, however the damage would still be there.

I trust that true boars hair brushes do not scratch paint if used properly. Was it a 'montana' BH brush?
Typically I use the BH brush for SUV roofs and windshields. If it can be reached by hand I trust that my hand is safer. I also don't miss any spots this way where I've missed spots doing an entire car with the brush

anything can get caught in the brush. I have definitely seen brushes scratch paint before. even the finest brushes out there will do that, as its easy to get dust or grit in the brush bristles
