My Porter Cable orbiter does not turn on unless the variable speed dial is past 5
This can't be right. Any others do the same or is there a quick fix without returning it to place of purchase? It is a new PC machine, too.

just wanted to make sure when I took it in, they'd fix it with a twist here, a torque there.
I got a new one nevertheless. But I tell you, customer service at Lowe's does not exist. Not that they gave me problems or anything, but no one said, "may I help you."
