Has anybody here used the Dunlop Graspic DS-2 winter tire? Opinions?

The girlfriend has them on her Rabbit. Great on snow, got through everything last year...but
I've been driving her car for the last couple days and I can say that they are terrible on the highway in the dry. They are noisy and they handle like crap. The car feels very floaty.

Had them on the wifes Volvo wagon - not a performance tire ...
They certainly worked well in winter conditions but don't plan on experiencing any fun on dry pavement.

Had them for 3 winters now. GREAT inexpensive tire. Buying high end winters is a waste imo
They don't perform as differently as a cheap vs quality summer.
GOOD winters will get you through more than enough. They do have some pretty soft sidewalls... keep em inflated well and I think they're great.
Our Winnipeg winter roads are mostly clear, with mixed packed snow, and a little more on residential streets.

OKAY, SO... I had Mich. Pilot Alpins on my B5. They were good most of the time, but not great
when it came to deeper or slushier snow... and handled great on dry pavement for a snow tire.
I would be comfortable using them on my B6, but thought I'd give something else a try. In my region, during one drive, I can go from dry pavement to wet, to deep snow all in one trip.
I keep coming back to Nokians... I'll check the 3D reviews if I can find some.
