2nd. Paypal is good. Some kind of escrow service could work if you are not 100% confident

Default In my experience, I would use an Escrow service.

The seller shouldn't have a problem with it, and if they do, then I would think twice, because the service protects both the seller and buyer. When it comes to lots of $$$$ and people you only know over the internet, then I would cover your *** as much as possible... don't want another Matt Lebouf problem...

just my thoughts

Default just as an FIY, and although i've been using PayPal many times, it's NOT by far the safest way...

Default I'm in the middle of a dispute with Paypal and I'm not impressed at all...

... Make sure you are dealing with someone responsible. They can be a PITA to deal with. You are in Canada and if buying from someone in the USA they will tend to take their side. Next time I buy something, I'll think twice before using Paypal.
