The Crossfire is built on the same assemble line as the SLK 320.......
someone on the Crossfire forum actually unbolted the front section of the car and bolted the entire front end of the SLK ....all the holes line up....the car is re-skinned.....not just the sum of the parts is what I am referring to.
Interior is the same except for the steering wheel emblem, the engine is the same, the suspension and sub-frame are the same.....even I had to get a replacement key from Mercedes Markham.....lol
I hope you know that I'm quite knowledgable to understand the facts of component/chassis sharing vs. interchangable parts sharing ;o)

Course I know that! Just wanted to make clear that for the crossfire,more then just parts are shared
And that the price saved more then makes up for the Chrysler vs. Mercedes label image.
You'd be surprised how many people actually know that its a Mercedes in "drag".....lol.

Unfortunately the LEDs are not cheap
I was sent the cost estimates of the molds for the LED system for the Mercedes, and imagine that it's close to what Audi pays ... it wasn't cheap.
