Default After burning up my stock clutch at the Byron drag strip Sunday...

I now have the AWE stage 2 clutch and the ligther flywheel.
Also, I had the UUC short shifter put in.
DUDE'S PERFORMANCE in Streamwood did the job.
Pretty great bunch of guys.
Customer service was simply stellar.

I wasn't planning on doing the clutch this soon, but I had to.
Man I gotta learn to drive the stick better.

Now I gotta start over, saving for the suspension for this thing. DANG IT ALL!!!!

Default no good times...

pretty much I stink at driving...but I have lots of fun trying.
1st run was 14.017 sec (I know, horrid)
2nd run was 17.xxx with white smoke billowing from the rear of the car.
And that was my day at the strip Sunday.
But still had a good time watching the rest.

The announcer was hilarious.
I saw a 9 sec pyscho on a motorcycle @ 155 mph.
I saw a vette spin, cross the lane and almost hit the wall.
I saw a 6 sec funny car and that didn't use his parachute (must have very BIG brakes).
I saw pure white smoke come out from my car and now my upholstery smells like toasted clutch (did I already mention that?).

Oh yeah, I will try again and again and again and again. One burnt clutch ain't gonna stop me. Two burnt clutches might since the wife might not agree to replace the next.

Default how much did they charge? I got screwed

I'm curious what they charged you.

Renn-art quoted me 8 hours but when I came to pick it up they charged me 12 hours saying it was harder than they thought. This is just for the clutch change. Ended up costing more than any other local shop.

Default Dude's Performance quoted me 12 hours also...

I also get a Euroteknik.com discount.

If you need some work done, ask for Scott and tell him SuperFlip (aka Eric) recommended you and I think he'll hook you up.

I paid 550 for clutch and LWFW at a local shop in Darien. Great work, I recommend them.
