Default Dealership View On Mods

Am debating getting myself an APR ECU upgrade for my 06 A4 2.0T, but was wondering how local dealerships treat those when/if I need to bring it in for service.

Specifically, I have nothing but good things to say about Continental Audi in Naperville. I've had my car there several times and the service has been fantastic.

So, I would rather not do the mod if it means jeopardizing that relationship. Any suggestions?

Default If you mod the car, you must be prepared for any RELATED repairs to be out of pocket.

If you can't accept that, then don't mod the car.

I was always 100% up front my service advisor. Some of my repairs were covered, and some weren't. That is cost of modifying a car.

Default Can Live With That....

Yep - I understand that is the price of admission.

I would guess that Bill Jacobs VW would be considered a 'mod-friendly' dealership because according to APR they are a dealer. Was just wondering if Continental had an overall position on modding or not.

Default 2nd...2 the OP. U may want to have a sit down with the service manager, start a relationship with

him and your service consultant, voice your concerns and worries with a modded car. lay it all out for them and Im sure they will be straight forward with you. I hear the new manager is pretty decent and at least you will know whether they will work with you or you are SOL....
