Him: "Driver's License and insurance card please."
Him: "Are these plates registered to this car?"
Me: "Ummmmm, ...."
Him: "Never mind. Sit tight, I'll be right back."
"I pulled you over David because you and your buddy were moving a little too fast on Wilson through the school zone." Me. "Sorry officer, I had no idea." (There was a city bus in front of us. How fast could I have been going through three successive stop signs?)
"Then when you got on LSD, you shot off like a cannon." Me. "Um, ok." (Yes, yes I did.)
So:
No front plate
Tinted windows
Speeding on Lake Shore Drive
Speeding through a school zone. (No kids though.)
Plates not registered to the car they were on
At least my insurance I.D. card was current. Whew, that was a relief.
Total cost.......................... $0. Let me go.
I'm coming back from VFC Engineering, following Janica in her S4 with winter tires, just had some, um, "stuff" done to the 996TT and figured what the heck, let's open 'er up a bit on LSD. Bad timing I guess. Cop was cool though. The only thing he told me to do was to lose the tint.
I think I'll go buy a lottery ticket.
