Default need help diagnosing a noise from my front drivers side wheel area --->

it seems at very very low speeds (from a stop to a roll start) or when turning the wheel and moving very slowly, i am hearing a *CLICKING* noise from what seems to be the wheel area.

any idea what this could be? i know its vague, and performance of the car and/or suspension is not affected, however with my windows down i can hear it quite well......

i checked my brakes, suspension and re-torqued my lugs for my GT3s...any other ideas?

Default That would be my bet - particularly if

the sound goes away when you apply the brakes.

Default I have the same problem w/Stoptechs. Sounds like a bad CV joint.

I am waiting until I need new pads to see if the sound goes away.

Default Time for new brake pads perhaps?

Same with me, but I'm having new pads put in as I write this so, I'll follow up if it worked.

Default If it's a regular clicking that's related to the car's speed, then

it's probably a CV joint. If it's random, then it might be a brake pad rattling (common problem - Shameless had the same issues).

If it's a CV joint, get it fized ASAP.

Default Exactly what it is. I had a problem where the pads were not releasing completly<more>

the result was a rubbing sound when accelerating from a stop up to 25 mph. i called stoptech and they suggested i file the edges a little bit. Another thought was that the caliper was dirty inside. So i cleaned the insides.

By filing the sides(so the pads fit snuggly) i solved one problem but produced another. The clicking sound. When my axxis pads are shot i will try it again.

I still think the problem has to do with the pistons in the RF caliper. I never had an issue with the pads not releasing until this spring.

Any thoughts?
