Ok-

went looking for an a4 avant this weekend and was treated VERY poorly at one dealership and just adequately at another.

the 1st dealer talked me out of a test drive after i asked!!!
grrrr

musta been cause i was:
a. a woman (husb was not with me)
b. look young (not that young but look it)
c. dressed casually
d. not also a snob!

there should have been no reason BUT
whatever the reason i really am discouraged about buying an audi - had my heart set on the a4 avant in that lovely green, i can afford a nice car now in my life too...well they lost a customer i suppose.

makes me MAD!

I wouldn't worry about that to much as most dealers are not like that. See if there is another dealer in your area because the car is worth this extra effort, I'm sure you would enjoy it. Good luck.

it's your money, you worked hard for it... take your business elsewhere... funny, I went to my local dealership on a lark and the salesman was so incredibly nice that pretty much sold me the car... ironically, I went to Audi when I tried to work a deal with an Acura dealer on a new TL... they gave me the "we could care less" attitude and, because of that, I'm driving an A4 today.
