diff. layout options
would it be possible for the forum to have different layouts, like this one has bullet marks for each thread etc, more like a message board...and most other car forums i visit are set up with just a topic,then you click into that and read other messages posted by other users etc.
to me its a bit easier to read and scroll through topics. i understand most of you are already used to this way so i was wondering if theres a way in control panels or something to switch between the two? if not, would it be possible to make something like that?

ya i understand you guys are used to this way, i just think it might for one steer some people away from using it, and secondly help some people like me who already use it, have a better time using it.
i know of at least 5 audi owners personally who dont come here just because they say "i cant get used to its set up"
i for one didnt sign up for a few months just because of that...im not complaining or anything. just suggesting maybe if theres a possibility of switching between the two in a user control panel or something?

You can make those changes now...
Go into your preferences (look below this post for the "Preferences" link) and select the check boxes for <b>"Collapse Threads?"</b> and <b>"Show all of thread instead of single messages?"</b>. That should get you closer to what you're looking for.
