Okay, I have a very easy idea for you guys to stop people from reposting URLS. Include a link checker, it will check all recent postings for a link/image/movie etc that someone is posting (since everyone image/link leeches here it would be effective) and that way it won't be reposted. If a link shows up positive in your preview post it will provide you a link to said post with link included in the preview pane. Then again, your search engine might need some work for that to be feasible.
Even then, the biggest weakness of kawf is that it moves very fast on the forums where links/pictures/movies are posted a lot and threads don't get bumped, so reposts are common and therefore end up cluttering it a lot, and in turn seem to cater to people with ultra short attention spans, or people who spend all day on the forums. In any case, a URL checker wouldn't be hard to include, would it?

yeh. i really don't mind reposts. links i've clicked on are purple so I know if I've seen it befor
I can save myself time by checking what the URL is before I click and make up my own mind. Either way I'd rather suffer the occasional repost than miss out on something pretty damn funny. Not to mention that this feature seems like it would be fairly difficult to implement.

EXACTLY! for every "REPOST" reply, there's usually 4-5 who say, "cool!" or "nice" or "sweet" or
"awesome" or "beautiful" or "slick" or "howdy doody" or "wonderful" or "fantabulous" or "excellent" or "bodacious" or "unbelievable" or "how'd they do that?"
