Testing lost post problem w/ duplicate sensing
It seems like if you post, then use the back arrow, clear fields, then make a new post, sometimes it gets flagged as a duplicate, and one of the posts gets lost.
1) post a response
2) hit back arrow
3) clear fields
4) post again reusing form from first post
You get a "duplicate message detected," and the first post disappears.
My comment to the developers - if this is difficult to fix, maybe you could at leat make it so that the first message is the one that persists, so that we can at least recover the text from the second one w/ the back arrow.
Basically, it's to stop duplicate posts and people who post something and realize they made a mistake and hit the back arrow, fix it and have 2 very similar posts.
I guess you're saying that I can count in this as a way to "edit" a post I've put in before, if I realize I made a mistake in it. That's certainly useful!
I still wish there was a way to just plain delete my own post. I realize there's a technical issue w/ what to do if there's a response to it - how about in that case, just replace the body w/ a message "this message was deleted by its author."
Any chance of this?
