Threaded view -- bold (or other indication) for new posts?

Threaded view -- bold (or other indication) for new posts?
I've been trying both linear and threaded modes for a while -- linear gives you some indication of when there are new posts in a thread, but it's very hard to follow the sub-threads since the info on parent/child relationships of posts are not displayed.
Threaded is better for keeping track of that, but I've been unable to find any way to get the new posts to be highlighted.
Is there a way to have new posts (since the my last visit) appear in bold, or be highlighted in some way. Trying to remember the time I last visited and scanning for posts newer than that date/time is not ideal.
