Not likely from here, at least not from the "show email" feature....
Of the few cases where someone had an email address harvested from here, it turned out that their email address was in plain text in a tech article written by them, or in a message written by them.
To find email addresses of members here (their name becomes a link to their email address), you have to be logged on as a registered user. I don't know of any way a robot could harvest them. Of course, a person can get them if they want. But most spammers rely on bulk sources of addresses, not on writing down email addresses one by one.
If you think you have an email address on the web, try a search for your address using Google. Try a search here for your address using Audiworld's search, and see if anything comes up. You may have put it in a message or in a tech article.

OTOH, this guy uses a special email address for AW, so it had to come from here, or...
... from some "chain of custody" that started with an email exchange from here. His email link in his messages is "audi@such-and-such-domain."<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/other/msgs/613699.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/other/msgs/613699.phtml</a</li></ul>

Thank you
That's right in all regards. And I'll add to that by saying that we don't make the list available to anybody and we haven't been hacked (or at least have absolutely nothing to indicate that were).
People need to look elsewhere on this one.

Josh, this just incorrect
I know we haven't been best buddies in the past, but don't go spreading how we are either selling addresses or have been hacked. That is INCORRECT. We have absolutely nothing to indicate that data has been compromised, and we take data security very seriously. There are a multitude of ways that a person could receive SPAM outside of being an AudiWorld member. Look elsewhere.

Im not trying to imply that you did, sorry - but its very aggrevating to have your e-mail defuncted
and your domain put in jepordy because of this. My mistake for not using an hotmail account on here.
My post is out of aggrevation and sorry bout that. I know how rumours can spread, I should have been a bit more reserved when I said that.
But are you guys investigating this issue? If so can you let me know.

Anti harvesting could be bypassed
I know only registered and logged in users see email addresses to prevent spider crawling, but it wouldn't be hard for a targetted spammer to create an account, get the cookie then script up a spider that sends the cookie.
Perhaps the server logs might show a user making a large number of requests in a very short time period, indicating spidering?<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/other/msgs/615789.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/other/msgs/615789.phtml</a</li></ul>
