Default Homebrew intake testing...

I still need fabricate some kind of heat shield, but for $36 for the filter, I figured I give this a try. I did some testing I need to clean up the graphs, it looks like it flows about 11g/s according to the mass air flow. Highest I saw stock was 166, with this intake without heatshield I saw 177 g/s.

Don't go off of the m/s because you are changing the laminar flow.

Default Dyno. S4 forum has been through this before.

All the intakes did was get a higher peak value because of the increased turbulence.

Default The VW MAFs have the laminar air flow straighteners inside the maf housing.

Unless he modified the MAF, the readings should be accurate (assuming the Audi MAF housings are the same).

Default You could also log vehicle speed vs. time for a pseudo dyno.

I know the block 120 logs are also popular. But with 3 samples/second on Vag com, you have to write off the peak numbers and just look at area under the curve.

What about the Sentra forum? Do they just use the little wheel with the hamster in it?
