Anyone travel to the Rochester NY area?
I live out by Manassas and I need to travel to Rochester NY next weekned.
Mapquest has me going 66 to the beltway then to 270 to 40 to 15. I'm thinking about going during peak morning rush hour on Friday and was wondering if anyone has gone 66w to 81?
It looks like it is more miles but would this route be faster when you account for traffic?

40 to 15 is actually a nice drive with good scenery
you drive by williamsport and Watkins Glen not to mention a beatiful drive along seneca lake in NY wine country. I did it in the summer for a wedding and I loved the drive. Prolly even better in the fall.

no idea where manassa is but
I live near King of Prussia. North West suburbs of philly.
I dated a girl in Buffalo for 2 yrs. Sucked big time.
3 hours to binghamton.
1 more hour to syracuse
1 more hour to rochester
1 more hour to buffalo.

Horrible.
But on a stretch of 81n there were never cops.
On the 90 there were cops. Radar worked.
Good luck.
