Chin Motorsports @ VIR December 8-9
For the die-hards out there (and those willing to brave some potentially chilly temperatures), I just saw that Chin Motorsports opened up registration for their December event at VIR.

Chin runs more of an open-lapping format. Basically, the run groups alternate an hour of time on the track and you can use that time as you see fit. Experienced Solo drivers get about 5 hours of track time per day. Novice drivers (those who require an instructor) get about 4 hours a day.
I'm thinking about it...it seems like a lot of money, but when you consider how much track time you get, it's really a steal. You also have to become a member for $50 a year.

its worth it for experienced solo drivers/racers...
plenty of track time and liberal passing rules are great for testing...you will typically see a lot of racers and teams at chin events

sorry. I saw 5 hours and thought that was total. take your 3hrs 20 mins
and add the final session on day 2 that some clubs let every solo driver out in, since a lot of people leave and don't run in it, for 3hours 45 mins = 3.5-4 hours.
