Does anyone have Cingular? If so, how is the coverage?

I just ate the $175 fee to break my contract with them
The TDMA network is terrible....by the time I switched (to Verizon, who is much better), I was dropping 80% of my calls with Cingular.
My co worker is on the Cingular GSM network and is happy with it....but, he has yet to use it outside of the 95 corridor between his house in DE and where we work in Harford county, MD. I've heard that GSM isn't so good outside of Metro areas.
