Default GM considers dropping Pontiac as part of recovery plan. Yeah, that'll do it.

The G8 and the Solstice are two of GMs better cars. But let's focus on the Lucerne. That's where the future is!

Remember the last GM brand to get killed? Oldsmobile was just starting to produce modern vehicles (Aurora).

Just don't touch teh Buick!

Really? Drop Saturn and keep Buick? Are these people mentally handicapped?

Default Kill both. Now. G8 platform = new Impala = Cop cruiser market.

Solstice can live on as a Chevy. Who would actually buy a G8?

Default Here's my theory of what they should do.

They were already wanting to sell Hummer so still do that.

Then dump Buick because only q-tips and the PGA will miss them.

Then dump Pontiac and GMC. Rebadge Pontiac's decent cars as Chevy. All GMC trucks are the same as the Chevy ones already with minor int/ext differences.

I would keep Saturn because its a good entry level car co. and most of the line are Opels which GM should keep alive in Europe.

The situation they're in now is a testament to their incompetence.

Default 9 years of Tiger Woods, they probably think that Buick can survive based on that recognition

Plus, let's be real, what would all the over sixties drive if you dropped Buick? That's a pretty significant population. Even Lincoln has shed it's attraction to older people. So has Cadillac, so what's left?

Ponticrap, sure do away with them, and keep Chevy. Chevy is more popular anyway. I agree with what others said about rebadging the G8 as a Chevy and call it a day.

I also agree with Bob, ditch GMC. I've never understood their purpose. They can rebadge all the heavy duty trucks (like the ones bigger than the 3500s) as Chevys as well.

2nd. Rear lights look a bit like the old A6.
