Default I stopped at a winery on the way home yesterday and I wondered

Would anyone be interested in a vinyard tour? I live close to several very good ones and there are plenty of excellent country and mountain roads between them.

Default I was thinking along the lines of a series of routes via Google maps

and rough times to be at each Vineyard or Winery. It would be very informal and family friendly.

Default This article looks cool. I'll try a multimedia, annotated map using this How-to

<a href="http://www.engadget.com/2005/03/08/how-to-make-your-own-annotated-multimedia-google-map/">Engadget article</a> Just give me a week or so to get everything together.

Default you probably know . . . .

about this website

i made the mistake of assuming a winery was open regular hours. then i discovered that some of them are by appointment only. most do have weekend hours, though.<ul><li><a href="http://www.virginiawines.org/wineries/index.html">click here</a></li></ul>

Default Yeah, but my tour will be pretty local. All winerys that I've been to and think people will like.

Mostly around Middleburg and Paris, VA. The farthest would be Veramar. I'll also route some very fun roads in between.

Sample - Crysalis, Pedimont, Naked Mountain, Veramar

Possible pit stops - Burwell-Morgan Grist mill and Country Store, Hill High Contry Store ( excellent pies )

If enough people are interested I will call and schedule a tour at some or all of the winerys.
