Default Rant about rental car choices

Why is that in San Diego, Hertz gives you the choice between a "Fun collection" and a "Prestige Collection." For cabs, you can pick a 350Z, Crossfire, Miata, PT, Mustang, Wrangler, Solara, an A4 and a Corvette!!!!
You can also get an H3, a Shelby GTH, a Q7, an A6 or a G35 (amongst others.)

I checked out my rockville location. I get a single selection of ... crap. I had seen an S4 for rental on my last business trip to Phoenix and went against it as I was going to be in meetings the whole day. Shoulda....

I sold my convertible last fall and need a new one. Thinking of getting a 99' M3 vert now. I love Audi, but don't like the A4 cab body, TT is too small, and used S4 cab is still too expensive.

In the meantime, where can I get a sporty convertible for a weekend, without getting a P-car for $300 a day w/100 mile limit? (Not interested in V6 Mustang)

Default Noone goes to Rockville for vacation....

San Diego is a different market. I can't imagine that it would be at all profitable to keep that same selection of cars in stock for the Rockville rental market.

Default I know, I know. I still wish I could rent an S4 for the weekend to do my road trips.

I don't even abuse rental cars!
