Default what to do? postpone or race? Friday at Summit Point

it is going to be a high of 42 degrees and party cloudy. Will it be ill advised to race in temperatures that cold? I'd obviously be running summer tires.

I'm very excited to get out on the track and I have friday off and the car is all prepped (or will be totally prepped by friday).

It's always hotter on the track. I've been at the Glen in the 30s with rain, as usual.

Default Go. Tires will heat up on the track, and track surface will definitely be warmer than 42deg.

Just take it easy for the first lap or so until your tires warm up. I've been on the track when there was still snow on the ground, no big deal.

Default colder temps = denser air = more oxygen = better combustion = more HP = GO!

And yes, tires definitely warm up on the track.

I ran Summit on a cool day (50s). Tires may be less than sticky, but that means more fun!
