Imagine Auto...V1...downturned pipes.
I have a '01 that has the hidden pipes. I'm going to decide if I like the setup before I mod the valance and put straight pipes on. I'm hoping to get pictures to post while it's on the rack.

v1 has the single resonator, correct? If so, get ready for some drone.
I had one on my car for two weeks and it drove me insane. The incessant drone at 2-3k RPMs was unbearable, especially in a daily driver. I promptly removed it in favor of my dual resonator Milltek. Much friendlier now.
Oh, and mod the rear valence. The larger tips on an aftermarket catback make the car look much more aggressive.

Yup, single resonator...
That's why I' not moding valance until I decide if this is what I really want. I expect there to be some noise, just hope it's not quite as bad as you suggest. I'll let you know!

I found the problem to be the fact that the single resonator was the aft one
and the SRT portion was where the other resonator used to be. That caused all of the drone to happen directly under the cabin, amplifying it for the occupants.
Don't get me wrong - it sounded great from an enthusiast standpoint, but as a daily driver also, it drove me nuts. Either way, you could pick any other catback and still mod the rear valence, so I wouldn't hesitate to do that. How are you mounting the exhaust so that's not an issue, though?

Exhaust Up...sounds good!

I'm pleasantly surprised and have not noticed a drone at any particular RPM. I'll find someone to add the tips in the coming weeks. I'm thinking an oval RS type tip...it will definitely improve the look.
Not Bad...car's pretty dirty after the drive home in the rain, but here's a pic.
By the way, Ben talked me into a chip...I'm now GIAC'd...whooooosh...love it!

Oh - you have the single tips on either side...
That setup is different than mine, so your sound/drone qualities will likely be different. I thought you had the dual tips on the driver's side like me. Looks like twin resonators there already.
