My Audi 100 '89 won't start (sometimes)
Sometimes the engine would stall. Sometimes it runs just ok.
I found, that it's because the spark plugs aren't.. hmm, well... "sparking".
What could be wrong??? I'm stuck and my friend too.
PLEASE HELP!

I don't think, the crankshaft sensor would be the problem, because the car would stall even on a highway under full load. Then it wouldn't start for about a 3 minutes and then it starts and runs normally for a while.
Btw, no fault codes of any kind. Just 4444.

I just went through a 3-month ordeal with my 89 100 stalling and failing to start intermittently.
Turned out to be the fuel pump itself. Changed it, and problems are gone.
If you are sure you don't have spark, then this is not the problem.
But beware the fuel pump in the future. This is the second time it has happened to me in the space of two years.

OK, I'm selling it. Anyone interested?

Need to be fixed: That (sometimes) no start condition, A/C compressor, CV joint (lfw), change valve gasket (included)- very small leak. Odometer stopped working at around 103.000 miles (4 months ago).
Otherwise very clean. FWD.
