Default ACNA Road America event.

I did the RA event monday/tuesday of this week, it rocked. I'm running the Stasis track sport kit (Alcon B-types, Winston Cup rotors, 332mm). I ran Porterfield R4 fronts and Pagid 4-2 rears.

The Pagid rears worked out some of the brake bias problems quite well, my car squatted quite comfortably rather than feeling like it was bouncing around on the front tires during hard braking.

The R4 pads in the front, however, sucked. By the end of day 2 there were serious pad deposition problems on both rotors. I don't think they were up to the task. I'm going to spring for some pagid fronts next time and see how that goes.

Overall, kudos to Stasis for putting together a brake kit that can deal with my behemoth of a car. I did manage to go off in 5, but that was more uhm, me not quite braking enough rather than the brakes not doing their job.

Default for you, i think Pagid RS14 for the front is the ticket...

...just don't run it on the street.

Default Very happy with those for track pads...

...although with them, I think I need to match them with a more aggressive rear pad as well.

Default I think you were in my run group

B, correct? I was the brown A8.

I have Pagid Orange (don't know what number it is) on front and rear and man, do they slow my car down incredibly!

I run stock Porsche pads in the front and stock Audi pads in the rear for street use.

It seemed that I was out braking everybody in our run group. I could really catch up on the braking zones. I attribute this more to the brakes than to my skills.

I have a BIRA system 6 on the front with 996 TT monoblocs and 993 rotors with aluminum hats.

Default Re: front and rear pads ...

At Road America this week, I used the Pagid RS14 in the front for the first time, with the Ferodo DS3000 in the rear. Previously I had used the DS3000 both front and rear.

The Pagid RS14 certainly performed well, but it seems that they definitely have a lower coefficient of friction than the Ferodo. Brake bias moved enough to the rear that the car was a just a tad squirrely into 1, 5, and Canada Corner; and the rear pads seemed to wear 2-3x their normal amount for a track event.

For someone who has a major front brake upgrade but is still running stock in the rear, perhaps the Pagid RS14 in the front with the Ferodo DS3000 might get braking bias to where it belongs.
