So I didn't damage the block like we thought. It turns out the machine shop kind of overbored a cylinder and then decided to reline it without telling us. Only the way it was done wasn't strong enough. It needs to have a step in the water jacket to hold onto.

So... He's gonna fix it up, again. I wonder if we can finish before the day we leave this time.
