Oh Yeah!! Great Job Pat! (kind of spoiler)
It was fantastic seeing Pat out there running in World Challenge TC today. He was competing among some of the best drivers in the US and running strong finishing 12th right behind Ian Baas. Lets hope he decides to run next year.

what date/time is the race being televised on SPEED? IIRC, it's this weekend. I don't want to look
at the site, since it'll show the results.
but, it's great to hear that Pat did well.

Pat did and absolutely awesome job. So glad to see him out there. To be fair to Ian Baas,
he lost his torsen and/or clutch (still be determined) on launch and the car would not put power down.
Qualified third, had no power getting to the ground (as you saw from Pobst in turn 2 and as Pobst acknowledged).
He would get about 1-3K revs higher per the speed in each gear, with the car sounding like it was an automatic with a blown torque converter as it went by. Actually, it almost sounded like a CVT or snowmobile engine!
Not to take ANYTHING aware from Pat, though.
Hey Ben, if you'd like a nicely colored, sharp image of Pat at no charge, let me know. That one looks like there was a load of vaseline on the lens and it's about as sharp as a banana. ; )

Mike S - could you send me your contact info?

I have a few fun pictures of Randy going into Turn 5 that I'd like to forward. (Below is one example) The left front wheel is spinning (not as nicely as when you and Leslie take pictures, I'm still not skilled or confident enough to shoot that slow) and you can read the team's lettering "LR..." on the left rear tire. I think one has a little tire smoke if I sort through everything...

Thanks Mike, great seeing you.
And Ian left me a present on my right rear - I guess he didn't want me to feel left out of the mayhem. I had a great time being introduced to the series and the talent out there.

Hi Pat....
Awsome job.
Yah, Ian said you pinched him a bit, IHO, and he tapped you a bit.
Said it happened at 6, I think.
He spent two years in Carrera Cup and SuperCup, and he's strong and aggressive. REALLY a nice guy and total class.
Randy pushed Ian all the way through one.
That type of contact is very, very common in TC.
What Kleinubing did to Randy is not, and the series lack of response may be the end of Randy in TC.He was punted in 4 of the 10 races, including the last two, and STILL was in the mix for the championship until Pierre played the A$$hole yesterday.
Sorry we didn't get to spend more time together. Saw Erik there as well. Good to catch up a bit.
You did a GREAT job. So nice to see you out there.
Let me know if you want some pics. We will put up a private gallery for you.
Cheers,
Mike S
