Default For those running the Ferodo DS3000 ...

This is an interesting article from RaceTech magazine.

The DS4000, derived from the DS3000, was the last brake pad used with cast iron rotors in Formula 1, which now uses carbon-carbon brakes exclusively. Williams used the DS4000 with a cast iron rotor during qualifying for one F1 race in '99, the Hockenheim Grand Prix. The driver was more confident with the DS4000 during the one flying lap qualifying sessions.

BTW: I love the DS3000 on track with the S8.<ul><li><a href="http://www.itfl.co.uk/racetech/issue31/Insightds3k.htm">DS3000 History</a></li></ul>

Default Yup, great pads

The only other pad that I use these days is Cobalt VR Spec in warm weather or at tracks where braking is really rough. I can't keep the VR's quite hot enough in cold weather. They need to be about 800F+ to be at their best.
