Default Will 225 45 17 Hoosiers fit on stock S4 wheels?

I've checked on the chart on tirerack site and their suggest rim width are 8-9"... Anyone try that size on stock S4 rims before?

Default Sure it'll fit...

I've put 225 on the stock 15" wheels, which are 6.5 or 7 max.

regards,
Liam

Default Thanks...I'm worry because....

Hoosiers are usually a lot wider than other tires in the same size.....

Default yes.

Jerry and I did some testing, and found that 245 hoosiers or 255 kumhos will fit with with a 1/4" spacer. They have to be mounted by someone with experience squeezing super stiff sidewalls onto narrow rims and they will have to use something more tsophisticated than the reguar tire mounting machines you find @ most places.

Oh and they will rub when the wheel is close to lock and rub when the car is close to bottomed out but you can go wider than 225 (which incidentally, I run on my 2,404lb neon ACR racer).
