Experience with "pipe liners" for sewer pipe from house to street?
Ours backed up yet again last night and spurted crap water out of the washing machine drain pipe again. We've had it cleared twice now, once for tampon blockage, and then Roto Rooter cleared out a bunch of roots a few weeks ago.
The clay pipes are 50+ years old, and some sections have come apart, but not to the extent that we need to dig them up and replace them yet. We paid $350 to have it scoped with a camera, all 100 feet of it. We've got roots coming in in a few different places, but the worst is about 20 feet from the house.
Our plumbing company (Silco) wants to sell us a
"pipe liner" which essentially gets installed soft, and then hardens up overnight. But they want something like $3K+ for just 25 feet of it! I'm not sure on the exact cost, but they're going to check it out this afternoon and give us a quote.
The only other option is to dig the entire thing up and replace it. However it runs beneath our brick patio for 15 feet, and then under the neighbor's driveway for another 75 feet until it exits into the street sewer. Unfortunately their house doesn't T into our pipe, so we can't get any help from them in terms of $$$.
Does anyone know anything about these pipe liners?

Can't help with the pipe liners, but you should definitely get a one-way valve put in your washing machine drain pipe. We did that after getting flooded the same way. Only cost about $70.

No, I'm pushing to move in the next 18 months to something newer.
But this is something that I assume we'll have to disclose when it goes on the market, and could be a deal breaker if not fixed properly.
