I hear that loud and clear brutha. I've had mine since '89 and I'll never get rid of it if I can help it.

According to the lady I spoke with at the registry in Reading you can only transfer a green plate to a used vehicle you own. Can't transfer to another person. Can't put it on a vehicle that has never been registered before either. They want everyone to run two plates so I guess they do what they can to get them back whenever possible.

And the point about the plate being faded is valid too. When I swapped my reg over to this car the first thing she asked me was what kind of condition it was in. I told her it was perfect, when of course it looks lousy. Especially on this car! But it looks a lot better than ruining the front end by having to attach a license plate to it.

So other than using sharpies, has anyone on here ever tried to rehab their green plate? I'm afraid if I paint it it'll look, well, painted, and the law may try to commandeer it.
