Logging a few things on Vag-Com and now im running into problems.
Hey all, I was out on a mission today to log my EGT sensor because i thought for sure those were failed. I was wrong as usual. Now im trying to log actual vs desired boost (log 115 i believe) and when i turn on the car there is an error that says invalid controller. Which seems weird to me because it works when the key is in the on position but engine off.
I still can not find my boost leak after pressure testing and checking the egt sensors. I am getting about 13-14psi with my apr chip and i know it should be more.
Also i get about 12mpg and have checked manually plus with the computer so does anyone have any suggestions on what things to log for that as well. Whats the block number and values i should be looking for

some advice
from what i remember, i think the EGT doesnt start reading until 945 degrees. and even then it has a very short measured range. something like 945-1045 i think.
are you sure you have a boost leak? if so a pressure test would show it. keep looking really closely ... how much r air are you shooting through it to pressure test?
how much should an APR chip be boosting to?
regarding the invalid controller ... i have no idea. try conencting it with the car started already.

Yeah EGT is fine... I pressure tested to 15psi and it didnt hold it but i couldnt hear anything...
Does it not hold the pressure because the oil cap is off?
I believe the apr chip should be around 18. All i know is that my car feels VERY slow compared to what it used to be.
The invalid controller must be my generic vag-com. Maybe i can find someone in the area to help me out.
