Good morning -

Have any of you had a trailer hitch installed in the area? I've got an '01 S4 Avant and would like to have a hitch installed.

Any suggesstions would be greatly appreciated.

On the A6, probably on the S4 as well, the hitch is mounted through the spare tire well. I wasn't comfortable doing that, so I brought it to a local RV/camping/trailer joint on Rt.1 in Walpole. Oh, and I removed my rear bumper cover prior to going there because I didn't want them trying to figure out how to remove it.

Hmmmm, now that I look at the picture, I wonder if lowering my car will have an effect on trailering?

I forget what they charged me, but I seem to think it was $125 including the receiver ball.

I would think any RV place would know how to mount it up. You can call Da'Lan, they're out in Shrewsbury (I think) and they can recommend an installer.
