Default A4 B8 Brake pad warning light wont go

Hi all,
Can someone help me out there please...
My brake pad light wont disappear after I have tried every possible steps such as direct connect and disconnect the pad sensor wires, rear does not have sensors as they are electronic. As soon as I turn the ignition on beep sound and message comes up on the display (Brake pads)

Many thanks in advance,

I traced the wire back and I had a cut further up just before it splits into two lines, brake sensor and speed sensor. I joined it back together and sold the car over two years ago. Get a digital multimeter and cut through the rubber sleeve to check the wires one by one.
