New Member from Ireland - but **** do people get replies?! :)
Sorry for the shock, vulgar title, I just noted not many newbies get replies
I've recently acquired a 2012, AUDI A5 TDI Quattro S Line, Black Edition.
I'm considering putting a SONY XAV-1000 into it, and wondered if anyone else had done this, and if it was a pain in the rear?
I've someone who does this for a living lined up, I won't be cutting wires etc myself, but before buying anything/parts etc - is it do-able?
As far as I can tell, there's just the original sound system in the car.
She's a beaut, and the MMI is fine, but I'd love the extra functionality of Apple CarPlay if I could....
Many thanks - in advance.
DC.

Several reasons: The New Members section is just for introductions. If you have specific questions about your car, you need to post in the correct sub forum, i.e. I'm guessing yours would be in one of the A4 or A5 B8 sub forums. Your questions were quite specific, but many posts are so vague that a response is not possible without a lot more info. Posts without identifying your location; members are world wide & lots of differences in Audis, depending on country. I see posts that do not even list the year, model, trim info. Some posts are so poorly written due to format, language skills, punctuation, etc., that it's impossible to tell what the poster is talking about! Hope someone can help you out with your questions.

You might also post/browse the A4 forum(for your year), since the MMI, electronics, etc., would be nearly identical to the A5. Lots more members active in the A4 forums.
