Default New from TX: Purchased 2014 A4 Allroad

I was super excited to purchase a 2014 Audi Allroad A4 TFSI about two months ago. I previously owned a 2008 VW Passat Kormfort Wagon TSI and a 2013 Jetta TDI Sportwagen. I am very familiar with these cars. However, two months into ownership, I have what I fear is a doomed car. I took it to a shop for front end noise and they said I needed new CV joints and control arms, a new battery and then they claim that the oil use I have is a faulty engine and I should get rid of the car which I still owe a little money on. Apparently they found oil on cylinder 3 spark plug. They did not do a compression test. And the $5000 worth of suspension work they suggested seems outrageous. They did not do any work because the suspension parts they ordered were incorrect. I was hoping to get about 60k more miles out of the car. The odometer is at 103k now. I love everything about the car except the oil use (1 quart every 1500 miles) and the clicking when turning in the front end. I am taking it to a different shop after Thanksgiving. I was considering taking it to an Audi dealership to get a diagnosis on the engine problem. Thoughts. Did I buy a POS? I loved my Passat and this is the only car I could find that was even comparable.

The dealer I got it from said the PCV valve was replaced at the dealership. I was wondering if it was possibly a faulty part there. It also had a brake job previous to purchase FWIW.

Default Timing cover gasket leak

Well I found a reputable mechanic who fixes Audis and other German cars. Apparently the timing cover gasket is leaking. Word to the wise. Find the right mechanic.
