E-codes
All Audi's that come to the US have US-code headlight housings. You can purchase European-spec (E-Code) headlight housings and swap out your US-spec housings for them.
E-code housings have a brighter beam pattern and do not have the amber turn signal lense. E-code housings also include a citylight. The citylight is a small bulb that acts as a "parking light." The turn signal bulb, in e-codes, is only used as a turn signal indicator. The citylights will come on when your headlight switch is in the "parking light only" position. See this pic for an idea:

Look below for more housing pics. The upper pic is the US-spec headlight housing. On my A4, I had US-spec bi-xenon lights from the factory. I swapped those out for the S4 e-codes, which are the Euro-spec housings and the insides are black (A4 e-codes are not bi-xenon and the inside housing is chrome).
