Default Picked up a CQ today, wife crunched the A4 today...

The red/black that was on craigslist like 10 days ago.

The miles are high, but the car seems to be in very good shape. For 2500 I couldnt pass it up.

After we dropped the CQ at home, we were out doing errands, and the wife asked to drive. Backing out of a driveway, she was too far right, and took it off the curb. The front caught the curb, pushed the lower bumper up into the top one, popped out the lower grills, and damaged it prettty good. Looks like the upper portion may have made it out ok tho...

I guess I just have strange Audi karma.

Default Did he show you reciepts for what he had done to it to pass smog? Or was he just jacking the price?

He e-mailed me yesterday that it was up for sale again, but I passed because the owner seemed flaky the first time and suddenly wanted more $$$ (not that it was a bad asking price, but don't jerk me around when it comes to money and doing business with me).

Congrats on the purchase.

J.

Default And the increase in price was a bit of both, repairs and lost wages for taking time off work.

Either way, the price was right for me.

Default Yeah, i was a bit unsure myself, but the guy has a whole stable of audis. He just didnt want to sell

But judging from his wifes reaction, she was glad to let it go. He was a nice guy, and just kinda seemed to be dragging his feet in hopes his wife wouldnt make him get rid of it.

Default I would love to do that, but unfortunately it has no place in my immediate plans.

I dont yet know enough about these cars, and need to do a ton of research on 20v.org, and then confince the wife, start assembling parts, find a good mechanic to do it, etc etc...

but it sounds like fun
