Default spend a day in napa and dine at ad-hoc on washington street.

call and get rsvp's in advance, that place books up FAST. it's thomas keller's new joint if you didn't know.

you can do the typical mondavi to sterling tour with a picnic at v.sattui or dean & deluca.

restaurants in palo alto area?

marche - med
zibbibo - quasi med
john bentley - american
sundance - steaks
vero - northern italian

easier on the wallet:
gyros gyros - what do you think?
pluto's - salads
peninsula creamery - milkshakes
osteria - pasta
mcdonald's - burgers and best fries evAr.

there are also places on california st who's name s escape me for the moment. and velotech on emerson is winnAr.
