ya know, fellas, detailing is certainly something you can take care of yourself...
for about what you'd spend on one professional detail, you can get all the supplies you need for half a dozen DIY job. provided you read up on techniques and don't have any huge issues, it usually comes out pretty well, too.
not to mention the satisfication of seeing an immaculately detailed car that YOU detailed. pretty friggin' awesome if you ask me.

I agree with you. I have the products,
and often enjoy the DIY detail (just as I do cuttin' and groomin' my lawn). Occasionally, however, it's nice for someone else to take care of it once in a while. You could toss in polishing shoes and power spraying/resurfacing your deck. For the most part, it's the time commitment struggle, IMO.
