Default Detaging my car, anyone got any tricks?

I used a heat gun on the one side and then used dental floss to get unter and peal it off. Now the glue remains. i have been scrubbing for a few hours and it would come off. Any tricks or ideas?

Default goo gone works but it takes longer and makes more of a mess than

some of the bug & tar remover out there...

i used goo gone and scratched the paint trying to get the glue off... floss is best for slicing at it tho.

Default How'd you scratch the paint with goo-gone??

They key to using that is a clean soft cotton cloth, like an old T-shirt, and you don't use the same spot on the cloth more than once, or you'll keep spreading the glue/residue around.
