Default Just a thought, Mike's (LI-S4) post below got me thinking............

ROAD TRIP!
How about a weekend drive from Long Island to Vermont?
Hutch to Cross County to Sprain to TACONIC to 495 (last exit before toll) to Rte.22 to Rte.7 east (which becomes Rte.9 when you cross the Vermont State line) into Bennigton. continue on Rte.9 to Wilmington and pick up Rte.100 north.
We can make it family oriented (read: invite and or bring wife /girl friend and or kids)
Once again, it's just a thought.

Default That sounds great! Not long ago I posted in hopes of getting- - ->

a drive out to Falling Water in PA.

Two or three years ago the TT board put together a ride there and it was reportedly great.

I'd be up for a nice ride on the Taconic...

HOWEVER!! a drive up thata' way, after not driving up there in years, is going to leave me unfulfiled...I do it only if a followup drive, on similar roads follows closely to ease the pain of having to drive at my wifes speed...

Default If i get enough positive feedback, i'll make a few lodging calls............

figure friday afternoon drive to southern Vermont (Overnight it around Mt. Snow / Deerfield Valley Region, with dinner at the Old Red Mill in Wilmington).
Saturday drive up rte. 100 with a stop at Sugar & Spice ( near killington) for a late breakfast and then over to Woodstock.
Saturday in Woodstock walking around with wive's/girl friends/significant others. [ that should make them happy ;-) ]
Saturday night in Woodstock. Sunday morning drive home at your own pace.
If people are really interested, i'll post on the New England forum and ask the Vermonter's for lodging suggestions in Woodstock.
Naturally, the drive will be open to all Audiworlder's!

Can do that on the way home to avoid some of the I-95 congestion.
