Default NYC folks - Can you transfer at Chambers St. from A,C to the 1 train?

Heading out to NYC this evening and looking to take the subway into the city from JFK. I need to get to Houston St. on the 1 train and it looks like it is easiest to transfer to the 1 at Chambers St. I just can't tell from the subway map if there is an easy transfer.

Thanks guys.

Default Looks like 1 is included...

but just couldn't tell if you could transfer to the 1 from the A,C as the lines don't seem to be connected at Chambers, even though they all have stops at Chambers.

I think I'll just take the A,C up to W4th and walk down to Houston, not as convenient, but shouldn't be too bad.<ul><li><a href="http://www.mta.info/nyct/service/oneline.htm">1 line</a></li></ul>

Default You're right I believe it does require some walking.

It wont be connected inside the stations.

Default I dont remember if there is.... but

why not take the A or C to Penn. Bail out there, walk (in Penn) one "ave" east to the 1 and go downtown from there?

Penn has the 123 on its east side and the ACE on its west end.

Pretty straitforward.

The link below is also good.

Have fun<ul><li><a href="http://www.hopstop.com/">http://www.hopstop.com/</a</li></ul>

it's not connected - you have you get out and walk down 1 or 2 blocks west to the 1/9/2/3 station
