Owners with 2 sets of wheels....what tires do you have?
I just picked up a set of 18" which I plan to have on during the non-Winter months and my 17"s for the Winter. Do you have Summer tires on one set and Winters on the other? Does it make sense to get All-Seasons on one set and Winters on the other or is that just a waste of All-Season tires?

Summer tires on my 18"s, and all seasons on my 17"s
The all seasons will likely get replaced with winter tires once they wear out, but they came with the car and were near new so I wasn't going to ditch them

Summer tyres on 18", winter tyres on 17"
All season, IMHO, are just that, all seaon, they do a half arsed job in the summer, and a mediocre job in the winter.....thus, I prefer a designated set of both winter and summer tyres.

i have F1 GSD3's on my LMs and i have some kuhmo winter tires on a set of stock 17inch 6 spokes.
on the other hand, a friend with an S4 has his OEM 18s on all season F1s and a set of 17 inch AT italias with dunlop M3s. he likes it because he can trudge through a little snow with the summer set and not cry.
I'll be changing mine over as soon as i see a week of below 40F at night. anything below 40 degrees and my tires turn into hockey pucks.

depends on your location. if you don't get much snow in your area, get a decent tire rated M+S.
I have 2 sets right now. 19" has summer tires (Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta). 18" stock has winter tires (Vredestein Wintrac Xtreme).
i just picked up a 3rd set of 18". thinking about using them for the track.

I have high perf all seasons for summer, only b/c an allroad eats up tires and I did not want to drop huge cash on summer only tires. Plus I think high pref all seasons are worthless in snow, despite the label.
Winter -- I run Hankook Icebears. Again the car eats tires, and the difference in performance vs Dunlops or Nokians was not worth it given how often I actually drive in the snow. That being said, the Icebears offered fantastic hold last 2 winters in deep snow and slush.
I am not on the Dunlop bandwagon, everytime I've had them, they bubbled on every car.
